The little mermaid doesn't feel like sitting on her rock anymore. She finally wants to experience something new and not stay forever in the
queer subculture of the underwater world. This is wher people who do not fit into the binary gender model of the land world. Underwater they celebrate Judith Butlerian Balls, hold political discussions, and make tiktoks. The Underwater people are trying to build a society in which there there are no exclusions, no hurtful language and no restrictive role constricting role models. But they occasionally fail because of their own demands and utopias.
Between the waves of discoursePrince Erik suddenly drifts in front of the little mermaid's tail fin. He, the heir to a sea restaurant, beams with privileges that the little mermaid can't even dream of and would never be granted. She falls in love with him on the spot, saves his life and decides to do everything to make him fall in love with her too.
For this, the little mermaid is ready to take any means into her hands. She lets the sea witch perform brutal spells on her, which assimilate her gender identitty and thus enable her to find her way to land As a price, she must give up her precious voice. She mutely endures the glances of the land people, who objectify her and do not know what to do with her.
She desperately tries to win the prince over, but he treats her like a doll.
A mermaid on a journey through gender-political issues an up-and-down dive in the seas of outdated gender roles, surfing the waves of privilege and drowning in the longing for real love.
